Would it be too much to ask for you to come by Joseph Beth Bookstore in Lexington, Kentucky? We have book signings every now and then (R.A. Salvatore comes sometimes) at Joseph Beth.

Please allow me to tell you a short story of how I came to your books.

I honestly had never heard of you or your books. I was looking for a good fantasy novel. Going to my library I grabbed a random book in hopes that I'd pick a decent one; that book was The Runelords. It was book 3, so I went to find the series. As it turned out, book 3 had been seriously misplaced, but I found the Sum of all Men.

I usually don't both reading any books out loud to my wife, but by the time I had reached the conversation between Gaborn and Myrrima I knew I had to at least read that part to her instead of just telling her "man, this book is really good!"

That was my undoing, now I must read the entire book aloud. I can't read ahead of her because I can't know what happens next. Yes, she's that into it. We're at page 187 (I had read to 220 before she said I had to stop going ahead) and loving every page of it. I've already recommended this book to several co-workers and I'm not even done with the first book!

Your new crazed fan,
Eric Folsom
